Families

Young families have a special place in the life of Messiah New Hope. We know that bringing a potentially restless and noisy child into worship can be an anxious experience for parents. We, however, understand that it’s either children with their wiggles and noise or no children in worship at all. To help make things easier, you’ll find activity bags for kids available on the way in and our prayground in the back where children can gather with a little more room to move and play. Our services also always include a special children’s message; children are invited to help collect the “noisy offering,” and they are welcome to receive communion (at parents’ discretion).

Throughout the school year, we offer Sunday School and youth group after worship from 10:45-11:30. Monthly family nights gather elementary kids together for food, songs, stories, and games while a separate gathering is offered to parents. Additional children, youth, and family-focused activities are available throughout the year, but we try to be mindful of children for all of our congregational gatherings, so you will always feel like you and your children are welcome.
